Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008, CEO Herb Dhaliwal is making significant changes to support a new company Environmental Policy, which will include the use of micro fiber cloths and mops, recyclable garbage bags, as well as the use of environmentally friendly chemicals ( certified by Green Seal and Enviro Choice). In 2008 the company will begin replacing its vehicles with hybrids. Herb Dhaliwal says "We will always continue to seek out and review environmentally sound methods, when performing our services and move promptly to adopt these practices whenever possible."
Herb Dhaliwal began his Canadian political career in October 1993 when he won the national elections on a Liberal Party ticket in south Vancouver. He served three terms as a Member of Parliament and as a Minister in the Cabinet under former Prime Minister John Chretien. During his time in politics he held several portfolios, including the Minister of National Revenue, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, as well as Minister of Natural Resources. Mr. Dhaliwal has the rare distinction of being the first South Asian to hold a Ministerial position anywhere in a Western democracy. He announced his retirement from Canadian politics on his birthday, December 12, 2003, to return as CEO of Dynamic Facility Services LTD.
